Step into the most thrilling season of the year at Cardiff Halloween Festival! We're seeking talented, energetic actors to join our Entertainment Team for Halloween 2024. With a full lineup of spooky shows and experiences, we need performers who can bring our haunted stories to life and mesmerise our guests with immersive, unforgettable experiences.

​

​Reporting to the Entertainment Manager, you will ensure that every performance meets our high standards of excellence. There are a variety of characters to portray, so your ability to learn scripts, improvise scenes and scenarios quickly and deliver strong, consistent performances is crucial, along with maintaining high stamina throughout the festival.

​

Please note: This role will not cover any of our SCARE FEST Maze or Show offerings. If you wish to be considered for a SCARE FEST Performer role, please apply via our Scare Actor page.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Performing in live stage shows, street theatre, events and experiences, ensuring every guest has a fantastic time.

• Engaging with a diverse audience, from families to thrill-seekers.

• Embodying Halloween characters and creating a spooky atmosphere.

• Participating in both daytime and / or twilight performances, as well as interacting with guests outside of shows.

• ​

Due to the nature of our festival, you will be required to work weekends, evenings, and some weekdays.

Qualifications & Experience:

• High standard of acting skills and, for some roles, singing skill. 

• Positive attitude and enthusiasm

• Passion for entertaining and engaging with guests

• Ability to perform for a diverse range of audiences

• Friendly and welcoming personality

• Commitment to health and safety within the festival environment

• Please note that some roles will enquire an enhanced DBS ​

Schedule:

Rehearsals:

• Wednesday 9, Thursday 10, and Friday 11 October. Hours TBC. 
   

Daytime Festival:

• Dates: 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 October

• Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
   

Twilight Festival:

• Dates: 12, 13, 19, 20, 28, 29 October

• Hours: 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm
